Have I mentioned I love Google?  What other search engine takes the time to make their webmasters make useful, high quality videos for other webmasters?  In this video, Google’s Eric Higgins shares some very easy to implement tips for webmasters whose websites utilize the PHP programming language.  Thanks Eric!

No matter what you thought of the man personally, you must admit, he was an amazing musician and artist.  When I was a kid, Thriller was one of my favorite records.  I haven’t had a record player in years, but I do have several records left.  I would love to listen to my Strawberry Shortcake Disco, Really Rosie, and Sesame Street records again sometime, among others.

For the last several months,  I have been toying with the idea of learning to make videos.  Nothing fancy, just homemade stuff, and certainly nothing that requires a hollywood budget or anything elaborate.  I’m too busy to really take up another hobby, but I was thinking that it would be neet to turn our old family movies into digital files for my mom one of these days, for example.  Or to offer “web commercials” to my web design clients.  Or to chat with long distance friends. Or for any number of other reasons.

So, after much procrastination, here is my first attempt at making a video.  I chose something simple – a song with lyrics, and pictures which I hope convey the message of the lyrics.  The song is called “What a Piece of Work is Man” and it’s from the Hair musical soundtrack.  Hair is one of my favorite soundtracks.

Just something funny I realized while I was writing this up…  I have read the manuscript, and have every song in the soundtrack memorized, and I have seen the episode of Head of the Class where they show small excerpts from the musical, but I have never actually seen the musical.  Yet, I love the music with a passion.  Go figure.
