If you have a CD album or albums ready for distribution and would like to offer your songs to the public as digital downloads, then let us help you get your songs heard and sold online!
Q. Do I, or does my band have to sign a contract with StoneTigerRecords.com?
A. NO WAY. We know you are looking for a record deal. We do not want to sign you up as artists, leaving you free to pursue a deal from a record label. However, you do NOT have to be on a label to join us and showcase your music either. Each CD or CDR submitted does not require a record label name. We are a download service ONLY. Our agreement is for non-exclusive downloads, with no signature(s) required.
Q. What do I have to do if I get signed with a record label?
A. If your record label objects to your music being offered for downloads on StoneTigerRecords.com, we will pay what we owe you for your current downloads and remove your music from our site.
Q. How long does it take for my music to be up on StoneTigerRecords.com download service?
A. Within two to three weeks, unlike CDBaby and other delivery services, where it could take months and sometimes, never.
Q. Is my music going to be lost in the shuffle, like other download services with millions of CDs?
A. No. You or your band name is seen “instantly” upon opening the “Artists” pages at the StoneTigerRecords.com download site.
Q. Does my music have to be “exclusive” with StoneTigerRecords.com?
A. No. You can be on any other download services you choose, along with STR.
Q. Will my music be promoted to the public from StoneTigerRecords.com?
A. Yes! Unlike other download services, which seldom include names of artists or bands, your act’s name is included in all STR advertisements, worldwide.
Q. Can you tell me what STR does for artists, and how this promotion is effective?
A. STR advertises in many ways including search engine promotions, online classified ads, myspace bulletins and blogs, other blog services, emails, links on other websites, banner advertising, newspaper ads, word of mouth, and many other types of advertising too! We don’t just advertise our own website either – we make a point to promote each individual artist and feature them in various places on the internet. If you have a website, blog, or myspace account, we will link to them from our site in exchange for a link to your artist page on our website. This will make it easy for both existing and new fans to be able to find and check out your music. At STR, there’s no hunting or searching through tons of known and unknown artists to find your music. We are different! We are also in the process of creating a brand new website interface with dynamic search and other capabilities, which will allow us even more ways to showcase your music on our website! Look for our brand new website by July 1st!
Q. Can you tell me more about how STR is different?
STR visitors, YOUR FANS, do NOT have to sign up or subscribe to STR to access your music. They don’t even have to sign up for a paypal account if they prefer not to – they can also just enter their credit card number into paypal without creating an account to make a one time purchase. They do NOT have to pay monthly subscription fees. STR does NOT request or require any private information or email addresses from your fans, making their visit to STR as easy as this: Fans just click to listen, LOVE your music, and BUY!
